Energizer Bunny

Connor has been the energizer bunny for the last few days. Thursday and Friday of last week were crazy. He was nonstop. Every time I thought he needed a nap and put him down, he would babble and soon get tired of being in his crib, so he'd cry. Then I'd pick him up and he would run around the house again. Work is not going to start soon enough...
On other notes, Steve, Connor, and I went to Paddock's Open House today and it took Connor a little while to adjust to everyone. It's crazy how they forget the people who they have seen almost every day during the school year. I was glad that they had it because I was really worried how he would react on Wednesday when I start back.

Oh no... school's starting

I'm really not looking forward to school starting. We have an Open House for Connor's day care on Monday and then he'll be there on Wed and Thursday while I have my PD days. Then on the 2nd, it all starts for real. I hope Connor remembers all the ladies. I'm glad we get to go before hand. Connor will be going to his first cross country meet on Tuesday. Hopefully he'll do okay.

Little Italy

On Friday, Connor and I traveled to Cleveland for the Feast of the Assumption. There were a ton of people, and Connor did so well. He didn't jump at the bells that were really loud, and didn't get shy with all of his family coming up to him. I was so proud.
This was the first feast when my Grandma Fran wasn't there. It was really weird because both of my aunts weren't there because it would have been really hard. It wasn't the same.
He had a better time at night, but was still a little restless. He ended up taking a half hour to go to sleep, but other than that slept in the pack and play. Hooray!
We brought Connor's wagon back to Michigan and he was really excited. He's able to see more and likes the freedom.
Well- school's starting in a week and a half, and I am definitely not looking forward to it. We will definitely be enjoying these last few days.

Mama Monday

So- while I'm on summer break, I decided that I'm going to participate in the Mama Monday.

Here it goes..

Connor is 13 months old and we have been able to get a consistent schedule since the second week of summer break. I'm definitely not looking forward to school starting since that means I have to go to work and leave Connor at day care.

- Connor wakes up around 7:30-9:00. (what a great sleeper). He has a bottle and plays for a little big while I have my breakfast.
- A half hour later, we try to do some errands or go to a playgroup. We have enjoyed the library and the teacher's play group so far. Connor normally lasts around an hour or so before we need to go back and eat some breakfast.
- Breakfast is around 10:30-11:00. Then we play for a little bit before he goes down for a 1 1/2 to 2 hour nap.
- During nap time, I am normally on the computer, laying out (have to with this MI weather), cleaning, or reading
- After Connor wakes up, he'll get a bottle and we'll play for a little bit.
- If we weren't able to go out in the morning because he was crabby, then we'll do our errands then.
- Some days Connor will take two naps, but for the most part, it's just one. We also normally go on a walk with the dog or play outside. We also eat lunch sometime during this time. (1:30-4:30)
- At 5:15, we go outside to wait for daddy to come home. This is Connor's favorite time.
- Steve will normally feed Connor while I prepare dinner.
- Connor will normally play until 7:30-8:00 before Steve takes him upstairs for bedtime. (Sometimes a bath will happen)
- After Connor goes to bed, I normally go out for a run while Steve cleans up and goes on the computer.

We end up going to bed around 10:00.

Dog Days of Summer

Connor and I are enjoying our last days of summer. We're going to head to the pool since it's been quite awhile. He's been a little cranky these few days so I'm hoping things will get better. We're staying home this wekeend- which I'm quite relieved. We're traveling to Ohio next Friday for the Feast. It should be interesting since he was only a month old the last time he went.

Yoozers

So- this is going to be a long one...
We went home this weekend and Connor was a wreck both Friday and Saturday night. On Friday night, he was up from 1:15-4:00. I felt like he was an infant all over again. It was horrible. On Saturday, he woke up around 11 because my mom's dog kept barking. He ended up sleeping with us which made our sleeping nonexistent.
We did have some good moments though-
Connor was able to go to the pool on Saturday and loved every moment of it. My parent's pool have an infant pool that allows the kids to walk around like it's a beach. He loved it. Then he had a birthday party on Sunday. After the inital shyness he experienced at the beginning, he ran all over the place. he also got a wagon that he absolutely fell in love with.
